From time and time again, we have heard and read stories of how some iPhone devices survived the odds. From dropping from an aeroplane to sinking to the bottom of a lake, the latest story is another familiar one by a couple from the United Kingdom (UK).

According to sources, a man from the UK accidentally dropped his iPhone into a river and thought that was it. Ten months later, a good samaritan named Miguel Pacheco recently found the iPhone and didn't have much hope. Nonetheless, he blew-dry it with an air compressor and left it dry the next day.

Unexpectedly, the iPhone was back from the dead after plugging into a charger. It also showed a wallpaper of the couple and the date of when it dropped - 13 August 2021. The man posted the pics on social media, hoping to find the owner and wouldn't you know it, it actually reached the man and has been returned successfully.

From the looks of it, the device looks like either an iPhone X or iPhone XS based on the notch and dual rear camera design. For those who don't know, both of the iPhone models feature IP68 water and dust resistance rating that can last up to 30 minutes underwater (up to 1.5m). We aren't sure how deep was the river but it's sure amazing that it still can be used after being submerged underwater for 10 months.
