realme has fooled us. Earlier, the brand announced an event for today, and most of us believed that the realme GT 2 series would show up. It turns out that the event was for the company to reveal the innovations that are coming with the smartphone series rather than launching the devices themselves. However, it's still newsworthy as the upcoming phones will feature impressive photography technology.

realme revealed that the GT 2 series would feature a 150-degree ultra-wide camera, making it the first smartphone manufacturer to present the technology. It will also include a fisheye mode that lets users play with the depth of field effect on the camera. By the time it comes out, it'll have a higher field of view than we've seen on most other smartphone cameras. The Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra had a notable 128-degree field of view on its wide-angle camera in 2021, but what realme offers is much better.

We had already found out that the upcoming smartphones will feature three world's first innovations. The previous report brought one of the innovations to light, and it was the world's first innovative bio-based material. It can not only reduce carbon emissions by up to 63% per kilogram, but the material is also as durable as traditional materials. Alongside this new 150-degree ultra-wide camera, realme also announced its world's first ultra-wide-band antenna-switching technology. It uses 12 wrap-around antennas that cover all sides of the phone and support mainstream bands in all directions.

The realme GT 2 Pro is now aiming for a Q1 2022 launch. What are your thoughts about these innovations? Leave a comment to let us know and stay tuned to TechNave.com for more smartphone reports.
