YB Gobind Singh, Minister of Communications and Multimedia, Malaysia recently announced that the 5G Testbed area will be expanded to 5 other Malaysian states outside from the original Cyberjaya and Putrajaya. These 5 states will include Kedah, KL, Perak, Selangor and Terengganu but there's no exact Malaysia dates when this might happen or when we'll see commercial 5G networks roll-out.

A Xiaomi device has recently popped up on TENAA, with discription stating that the device will come with 5G network support. As of now, the only smartphone by Xiaomi which has 5G support is the Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 5G. We assume that the device which was spotted on TENAA could be the Xiaomi Mi MIX 4 5G, due to the fact that Xiaomi’s CEO Lei Jun also hinted it on Weibo.com.
