In a recent study called “Understanding Consumer Trust in Digital Services in Asia Pacific”, both Microsoft and IDC Asia/Pacific have revealed that a small number of Malaysian consumers trust organizations' digital services on their personal data. How small, you ask? Well, turns out it is just only 24%.

A few days ago on Twitter, OPPO themselves showcased what they have been working on back in China by recording a short clip of an under-display selfie camera. That's truly exciting and it gets better, the company has announced that they will at the MWC 2019 Shanghai and very likely to show off this new technology.

So here a piece of short but exciting news, according to CNET.com, they were told that the next Unpacked event by Samsung will be returning to Barclays Center on 7 August 2019 which will probably showcase the upcoming Galaxy Note 10. It happens to be the same launching venue as the Galaxy Note 9 last year when we were there in Brooklyn.

Despite the on-going trade war between the US government and Huawei, Huawei is still planning to release their smartphones and this includes the Nova 5 series which has been picking up some steam recently. Previously, we saw the concept renders and it looked really nice. Turns out that it's not much different from the latest hands-on photo of the Nova 5 Pro.

So how is the smartphone industry doing so far in 2019? Well, Canalys, an independent data analyst company from Singapore with branches worldwide, has released a new Smartphone Market Pulse report on the Indian smartphone shipments and annual growth, including smartphone brand players such as Xiaomi, Samsung, Vivo, OPPO and Realme.

Samsung tweeted a video on their Twitter account, recommending owners of Samsung Smart TVs to perform scans for viruses and malware especially for those that are connected to the internet via WiFi or even LAN cable. In case you missed it, the Huawei notebook lineup previously disappeared on Microsoft's online store last month due to the on-going trade war. Microsoft didn't give any comment on their actions, but it seems that they have put Huawei back again this week.

Today, there's a new change to 11street. It has been announced that the e-commerce platform will be now known as PrestoMall. The rebranded company will still be the same online marketplace for Malaysians, but more than that to cater to users' entertainment, payment, credit, travel and "makan" needs.

Just last evening yesterday, Lazada Malaysia leaked an alleged price tag of the Xiaomi Mi 9T for RM1299 but of course, the page has since then been removed. Coming soon on this Thursday (20 June 2019), Xiaomi is heavily promoting the latest smartphone with three new short advertisements.
