Samsung just can’t seem to catch a break, as previously reported that the Samsung Galaxy On5 and On7 are official. Now it seems there’s another rumour floating around in the Internet revealing the Samsung Galaxy A3 and Samsung Galaxy A7’s successors, coded SM-A310 (possibly the A3’s successor) and the SM-A710 (A7’s) is speculated to be in the works.

Digging through the information, here are the tech specs for the SM-A310 and SM-A710 respectively:-

• Exynos 7580 SoC, quad-core 1.5GHz CPU and the Mali-T720 GPU
• 1.5GB RAM
• 16GB storage
• 4.7-inch display with 720 x 1280 resolution
• 13MP main camera and 5MP at the front

• Snapdragon 615, octa-core 1.5GHz CPU and the Adreno 405 GPU
• 3GB of RAM

It has been speculated that a low-end version of the Lenovo Vibe X3 will be released and called the Lenovo vibe X3 Lite. As usual, there’s no official price tag and Malaysia release date. But here’s what we got on the rumoured tech specs:-

• Octa-core 1.3GHz CPU
• 2GB RAM
• 16GB storage
• 5.5-inch display with 1080 x 1920 resolution
• 13MP rear camera and a front-facing 5MP camera
• features 4G LTE connectivity, a fingerprint scanner

The ASUS ZenFone 3 is an upcoming new ZenFone smartphone and it is expected to be released next year. It has also been confirmed by ASUS CEO Jonney Shih that the ZenFone 3 will be equipped with the USB Type-C port.

Currently there are no speculated tech specs or Malaysia release dates for the ZenFone 3, but it is assumed that it will include high-end, mid-range and low-end smartphones like the current ZenFone 2 series.

Asides from launching their premium Huawei Mate S smartphone for Malaysia's masses, Huawei Malaysia also launched the Huawei G8 smartphone and Huawei M2 tablet. The Huawei G8 looks to be the value offer here while offering a full metal body with fast Fingerprint 2.0 fingerprint sensor. The Huawei M2 tablet on the other hand is the successor of the Huawei MediaPad M1, featuring an 8-inch full HD display with dual front Harmon Kardon speakers. Both will be priced at RM1499 and are available starting from today.

The Huawei Mate S was officially launched in Malaysia for RM2698 today and is available at all major distributors and resellers. While at first we felt like it was just another smartphone launch, you really have to take a closer look at the phone firsthand for the excitement to build. Featuring a gold and coral pink coloured metal body that is both curvy and light, we felt that the Mate S feels thinner and more premium than even the Huawei P8. Last week, images and tech specs of the Samsung Galaxy On5 and Galaxy On7 appeared in the company’s website but was quickly taken down for whatever reasons. But it’s back on the surface again in China’s Samsung website, this time it’s pretty safe to say that the two new upcoming products are official. Strangely, only the On7’s tech specs are fully shown officially.

What does Huawei and University of Manchester have in common? Pictures of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro were leaked online yesterday with rumours of the chassis build in a metal form casing. It was also speculated that it will come in two versions, one with a fingerprint sensor and the other without one. On the other hand, it’s said that it will follow the same tech specs of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2, so the tech specs are more or less likely to be:-

Yes, you read that right. The new Misfit Shine 2 doesn’t need to charge. How is that possible you ask? Well, it’s done by simply replacing the integrated replaceable battery that is inside the smartband. This thing can last for six months on a single battery!
