As is often the case these days, sometimes one of a company's official sites gets trigger happy and uploads all the information for it's upcoming smartphone a few days early. It isn't the first time it has happened, but this time around it happened to LG Netherlands, which uploaded the tech specs and images of the LG G3 just a few days before it's official unveiling. Tech specs which have been confirmed include a quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB worth of storage, a 5.5-inch display with 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution, 13MP rear camera, 3000 mAh battery, 146.3 x 74.7 x 8.9mm measurements and Android 4.4.2. Other notable features include a Google Now - like assistant along with a laser auto focus system for fast low-light focusing. Rumours indicate that the LG G3 will be able to support up to 2TB of microSD flash memory but this has yet to be confirmed yet. Still no Malaysia pricing or release dates just yet but we should find out more in the next couple of days.

While the HTC M8 Ace has more or less been confirmed by China's Tenaa, a new version of this supposedly plastic HTC One M8 could be coming to China soon. This smartphone is rumoured to be called the HTC M8 Ace Vogue with a launching date set to 3 June 2014. Pricing has been set at RMB3000 (RM1544) while tech specs are quite high-end. These tech specs include a 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB / 32GB storage plus up to 128GB microSD support, 5-inch Super LCD 3 display with full HD 1080p resolution, BoomSound stereo speakers, a 13MP rear camera, 5MP front camera and 2600 mAh battery. No news yet about Malaysia release dates or pricing but it could be the midrange smartphone HTC is looking for to appeal to the masses.

As rumoured, DiGi is currently offering the Xiaomi Mi 3 for FREE provided you sign up for the SmartPlan 148 under a 24 month contract. If you don't mind paying either RM259 or RM499 you can sign up for the SmartPlan 78 and SmartPlan 108 for the same 24-month contract period. Loyal postpad users who have been with DiGi for 12 months and above won't have to pay any advanced payment but bear in mind that DiGi only have the Grey coloured version of the Xiaomi Mi 3 available. Previously, U Mobile had bundle deals going on for the Samsung Galaxy S5 with no upfront payment at just RM555 for new Standard Chartered JustOne Platinum card subscribers. However, with the recent RM200 trade-in discount from Samsung Malaysia, U Mobile are now lowering the price to RM355. All of the old conditions remain in place though, so if you want the RM355 No Upfront deal, you will have to successfully get a Standard Chartered JustOne Platinum Card, sign up for a U Plus plan and trade-in your old smartphone. Do note that the trade-in smartphone does add any discount value to the deal like the Samsung Malaysia promo, but according to U Mobile, you can bring in any phone with an IMEI number for the trade-in. In line with the Samsung promo, the extra RM200 trade-in discount is only available until 31 May 2014, so if you fulfill all the conditions and want the Samsung Galaxy S5 at a rock bottom price, then do check out this deal. Understanding that the Samsung Galaxy S5 is rather expensive at a retail price of RM2399, Samsung Malaysia are offering an RM200 discount when you trade-in your smartphone to buy the Galaxy S5 smartphone. This RM200 discount will be added on to the value of the smartphone you trade-in, so if your trade-in smartphone is valued at RM300, the total discount will be RM500. This promo is from 23 May 2014 to 31 May 2014 so if you're considering the Galaxy S5 and you have a good value smartphone you don't want anymore then this is a very good offer. While Huawei Malaysia already sent out the save the date teaser for their upcoming 10 June 2014 event, it seems that it won't be just the Huawei Ascend P7 smartphone being released. Almost every day afterwards, Huawei Malaysia have teased a different device that may be coming along with their flagship smartphone. This list currently includes the following:

• Huawei TalkBand B1 - a 2-in-1 bluetooth headset and fitness tracker
• Huawei MediaPad X1 - a 7-inch tablet phone with 1.6GHz quad-core processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage, 13MP Sony rear camera, 5MP front camera, 7.2mm thin, 4G LTE support, 5000 mAh battery and premium aluminum body.
• Huawei MediaPad M1 - a HTC One look-alike tablet with 1.6GHz quad-core processor, 8-inch display and 1GB RAM
• Huawei Ascend G6 3G / 4G - a smartphone with 1.2gHz quad-core Qualcomm processor, 1GB RAM, 4GB/8GB storage, 4.5-inch display, 8MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, 3G/4G support and 2000 mAh batery

Apart from the Xiaomi Mi 3 smartphone, the 10400 mAh Mi Power Bank also got very good response when it was available previously. Now that the second batch of Xiaomi products will be available tomorrow on 27 May 2014,Xiaomi Malaysia have announced that there will be 5000 units of the Mi Power Bank available for the same super low price of RM36. The Xiaomi Mi 3 smartphone is also getting an increase in the number of units available for sale with 6000 units available for tomorrow as well. Despite the larger amounts, we expect the Xiaomi Mi 3 and Mi Power Bank units to go just as fast as the previous record of 17 minutes but if you still want one, check out the buying guide and make sure your PayPal or Credit card is in working. As always, we would like to remind would-be-buyers not to rage too much if you don't get either device as we expect more Xiaomi Mi 3 smartphones and Mi Power banks to be coming soon. 

ASUS Malaysia recently announced their new refreshed ASUS Fonepad 7 variant for their range of 7-inch tablets with 3G connectivity and phone capabilities. Volkswagen has kicked-off a Onefootball Brasil app and Volkswagen Polo Sedan giveaway contest for the upcoming 2014 FIFA World Cup. Combining all the latest online news, videos and social media such as twitter about the World Cup into a single app, fans can even cast match predictions or vote on the 'Man of the Match' for each game. In conjunction with this, Volkswagen Group Malaysia will be having a contest to give away a brand new Volkswagen Polo Sedan. Samsung Malaysia recently offered Samsung Galaxy device users FREE movie preview tickets for the movie X-Men: Days of Future Past all thanks to the downloadable Galaxy Life app. More than 3600 movie preview tickets were redeemed at four locations including GSC Pavilion, GSC Mid Valley, GSC Gurney Plaza and GSC AEON Bandaraya.
