The Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) has recently taken to its official Facebook account to share more details regarding the 2022 Special Withdrawal. Specifically, the statutory body announced that members’ application status can already be checked since last Saturday (9 April 2022).

The Assemblyperson for Bukit Gasing, Rajiv Rishyakaran today announced that Kumpool, a local van and bus e-hailing service is now available within Petaling Jaya (PJ). Covering stops in areas from Seksyen 1 to Seksyen 19 in PJ, each ride is priced at just RM1 and the first 10,000 riders will get a free ride.
Derived from the malay word ‘kumpul’ which means to ‘gather together’, Kumpool started from a vision of serving the community and bring back the "kampung spirit by aggregating the efforts from the community to keep costs low. The local app offers two main services, Kumpool Ride and Kumpool Delivery.

We may finally see a notch-less iPhone that still retains Face ID in the near future as Apple was recently successful in its patent application for an under-display TrueDepth camera. Granted by the United States Patent and Trademark Office on 5 April 2022, the patent is of an ‘Electronic device including a camera disposed behind a display’.
A further dive into the official patent application document shows that Apple has actually been planning this feature for a long time. In fact, the patent application for the under-display TrueDepth camera was actually made on 24 September 2019.

The Communications and Multimedia Ministry (K-KOMM) has set aside RM4 billion in allocation so that over 4,000 schools in Malaysia will enjoy fibre optic connections. Announced by its minister, Tan Sri Annuar Musa yesterday, the amount involves the installation of Point of Presence (PoP) fibre optic network hubs in the schools.
Annuar further elaborated that the installation will be made in schools in the northern, central, southern and eastern zones in Peninsular Malaysia as well as in Sabah and Sarawak. It is hoped that the initiative would provide more stability and higher speed internet connection for the schools.
