With how extensively used smartphones are today, the last thing we want to hear is that the device we use isn't exactly safe from problems. In a recent study, it was reported that over 400 vulnerabilities were found in the software of Qualcomm chips. Specifically, these were detected in Qualcomm's Digital Signal Processors (DSP) chips.

Based on a statement by Digital Chat Station on Twitter, it seems that Qualcomm could be releasing several “Lite” variants of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 chipset which will be priced much cheaper. With that said, we can expect smartphones equipped with the aforementioned Lite chipset to be much cheaper compared to the full-specced Snapdragon 875 chip.
