The Samsung Galaxy A7 (2016) rounds up the current range of Galaxy A6 or Galaxy A (2016) smartphones in Malaysia with its larger 5.5-inch display with full HD resolution. Priced at RM1899, the phone manages to pack in a fingerprint sensor, 4G LTE Cat6, a 13MP rear camera with optical image stabilization and a 3300 mAh battery despite being only 7.3mm thin. The middle child of the new Samsung Galaxy A6 or Galaxy A (2016) series of smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016) offers a 5.2-inch display with full HD 1080p resolution. It also comes with a 13MP rear camera and Optical Image Stabilization for a fully featured smartphone at just RM1599. Wiko Fever 4G is Wiko Malaysia's strongest and highest tech spec mid-range smartphone released in Malaysia for only RM799. It's said to be able to glow in the dark after absorbing enough natural sunlight (there was no dark place for us to test it out though), and has a special selfie feature that can be viewed while doing a video recording. The recent Samsung Galaxy A6 series launch saw the launch of the Samsung Galaxy A3 (2016) for just RM1299. As an additional value feature, Samsung Malaysia have even added on a free 32GB microSD card right out of the box. EXMobile VoLte 2 is our local brand's flagship and it currently cost RM549 only, it features a MediaTek MTK6735A + 64BiT Quad-Core 1.3Ghz MALi T720 and 2GB RAM, carries 16GB internal storage with an expandable memory up to 64GB, screen is 5-inch with good 1280 x 720 resolution, 13MP rear camera + 5MP front camera, operating on Android 5.1 Lollipop and has a 2200 mAh battery. The honor 7 Enhanced Edition was also announced alongside the honor 5X and honor Band Z1 yesterday. Featuring the same design as the honor 7, the honor 7 Enhanced offers a bit more in terms of storage with 32GB worth of internal memory. It also comes with a quick charging power adapter and a more premium looking metallic front bezel. The honor 5X just got announced for Malaysia yesterday and we managed to get some hands-on time with it. While it uses a different Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 processor it still offers a premium metal build with brushed metal backside. Other notable tech specs include a larger 5.5-inch full HD display, fingerprint sensor, 4G LTE connectivity and Dual SIM support. While there are still no pricing details or specific Malaysia release dates do check out the tech specs and our first impressions hands-on video with the honor 5.

Flagship smartphones are generally faster, have more features and usually cost a lot more than what you’d normally pay for a smartphone. However, things are changing and smartphone manufacturers are now coming out with smartphones that not only offer flagship features but do so at more affordable price points. At just RM1399 the honor 7 is honor’s flagship featured smartphone coming with a metal build, fingerprint sensor and 20MP rear camera. Does it equal or better more expensive flagship smartphones? The honor 5x and honor 7 Enhanced Edition (along with the honor Band Z1) are coming very soon next week on 26 January in Malaysia so there's much anticipation about it.  But how different is it between the honor 7 and the Enhanced version?
