Those hoping for an early reveal of the Samsung Galaxy S8 will be slightly appeased this MWC 2017 as Samsung have indicated that they will show a teaser video of their upcoming flagship phone. Instead, their big MWC 2017 reveal will likely be about the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3.

Honor has moved fast and quickly revealed their Honor 8 Lite smartphone officially and quietly in Finland. The phone will go for €269 (RM1284) and is currently on preorder with a release date of 17 February 2017. It will be available in black, blue, gold and white with Android 7.0 Nougat and EMUI 5.0.

The rumour mill continues onwards as it reveals the Honor 8 Lite in a case no less. Looking much like the recently revealed Huawei P8 Lite (2017) the rumoured Honor 8 Lite looks like it only features a single rear camera and instead of the USB Type-C port on the Honor 8, it goes for a MicroUSB port instead.

What appear to be press renders showing off the Samsung Galaxy S8 have surfaced, showing a very large screen with no front home button. Confirming the back with previous leaked images there is a rear fingerprint sensor located next to the still raised camera hump on the back.

According to Android Police it looks like LG have an Android Wear smartwatch in the works called the LG Watch Style, which may be released with the more fully featured LG Watch Sport. While HTC has cancelled their recent Android Wear smartwatch and rumours say Google my shut down Android Wear itself, the LG Watch Style may be offered for $249 (RM1103).

In a move to make sure freelance workers are actually where they say they are, WhatsApp may soon implement a feature that allows you to track the location of group members in real-time or at the same time as they are chatting. Lol, we're kidding about the freelance worker tracking thing but according to rumours, the Live Location Tracking feature is real and can be set for 1 minute, 2 minute, 5 minute or all the time tracking. Supposedly the feature is currently disabled by default but it will be available on both iOS and Android versions of the app. No Malaysia release dates yet so do take this rumour with a grain of salt.

The folks at Tech2.hu have uncovered rumours that Alcatel will be bringing 5 new smartphones to MWC 2017 with one of them having a modular design. This isn't the first time a modular phone has appeared but the LG G5 and its friends didn't really sell very well, mainly due to the high price of each modular piece.
