The first camera samples of the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 5 smartphone have appeared courtesy of Lin Bin, Xiaomi's President himself. Capturing a bird taking flight on a sandy beach, the shots indicate that apart from detailed image quality due to the rumoured 16MP camera sensor, some serious autofocus and probably optical image stabilization is also in play. Other tech specs are not so clear though but we estimate that the Mi 5 will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, 5.7-inch full HD display, 3GB / 4GB RAM and 16GB / 32GB / 128GB storage. It is set for a release on 24 February 2016 so we shouldn't have to wait long to find out more.

We've seen any number of leaked press images or concept renders for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S7 but one of the first pictures of the actual physical device has appeared. Coming courtesy of the folks at Review Dao the leak confirms a thinner camera hump and a sort of curved 2.5D glass back. The rounded metal frame is still there and the only tech spec visible is 32GB worth of storage. Everything else has been blurred out, so nothing has really been confirmed just yet.

While we're about six to seven months away from the actual official release of the Apple iPhone 7, the wishfully thinking designers have already come out with their own renders. A new one recently surfaced showing off a Super AMOLED display, ceramic back, waterproof design, A10 processor and no 3.5mm headphone jack. The overall design remains the same though, retaining the rounded metal frame from the Apple iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus.
The no headphone jack feature certainly seems likely indicating a thinner iPhone 7 but the rest seem very much like wishful thinking to us. While this cycle of the iPhone iteration should result in a differently designed smartphone, Apple have never made any waterproof smartphone to date, so there is no reason for them to start now. As usual of such rumours, do take it with a good pinch of salt. No Malaysia release dates or pricing details yet, but stay tuned for more details.

HTC have been following the HTC One template for quite some time but recent models like the midrange One A9 have been going a different way. Leaked pics of what could be the HTC One M10 show a design more like the A9 with the black HTC band clearly missing from the front. This leak comes courtesy of the usually accurate evleaks, which could mean that the HTC One M10 will be the first HTC flagship to go for the rather generic looks-like-an-iPhone design that seems to be the norm these days. No tech specs, Malaysia release dates or pricing details yet but we should know more in the coming months, so stay tuned.
