Rumours about a mini version of the LG G2 have been going about for some time. Initially known as the LG D620 the device was recently confirmed for Bluetooth certification so we should see it soon despite no specific Malaysia release dates or pricing. Semi-confirmed tech specs for the LG G2 mini include a 540 x 960 pixel resolution display, an 8MP rear camera and that it will come running Android 4.4.2. While other tech specs have yet to appear, the available tech specs point towards a standard mini smartphone with cut-down features from the original LG G2. We're hoping that the camera for the LG G2 mini will at least have OIS (optical image stabilization) but this is rather doubtful. Stay tuned and we'll keep you posted.

A newly leaked photo of the HTC M8 gives a better view of the supposedly dual-camera and dual-LED flash setup that the HTC One 2 smartphone is said to be using. The image comes courtesy of nowhereelse, the french tech blog who often get the latest and most accurate of leaks. Previously, dual-camera sensors were only used in 3D cameraphones, with this trend quickly dying out. However, the placement of the second camera above the main camera sensor placed next to the dual LED flash seem to coincide with earlier rumours that one camera would be for low-light conditions and the other would be for normal conditions. No news on any Malaysia release dates or pricing but we're thinking that it could come up at the MWC expo 2014 at the end of this month. Stay tuned and we'll keep you updated.

While the HTC M8 or next version of the HTC One has been making the rounds on the rumour mill, it appears that HTC may also come out with a HTC One mini 2 version as well. This comes courtesy of @evleaks who has offered up tech specs for the upcoming compact version of the HTC M8. These tech specs include a 4.5-inch display with 720p pixel resolution, a 1.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of storage + microSD, a 13MP rear camera and 5MP front camera. The major differences with the original HTC One mini are the larger display, processor and cameras with microSD support but do take this with a pinch of salt as it seems rather unlikely that HTC is going to come out with a 13MP UltraPixel camera anytime soon. We'd love to be wrong in this, but it is wiser to be wary when it comes to rumours like this.

Lenovo recently announced a new entry-level to midrange smartphone for China called the A628T. While it seems to be targeting the young crowd it is one of the few smartphones in this range to offer a 5-inch display with a standard display resolution of 854 x 480 pixels. Other tech specs include a quad-core MediaTek MT6582M processor, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of storage + microSD, a 5MP rear camera with LED flash, a 2MP front camera and a 2000 mAh battery. The smartphone will run Android 4.2 Jelly bean and support dual-SIM as well. Unfortunately, there isn't any news on Malaysia pricing or release dates for Malaysia but we're expecting it to arrive very soon as Lenovo seems to be retiring many of it's existing entry to midrange models recently.

While the Apple iWatch has yet to arrive, or even get any official leaked images, quite a few designers have gone and made their own takes or concept render's of Apple's rumoured smartwatch. Most look very attractive while some seem so realistic that they look very much like how the Apple iWatch could look when it does come out. This next concept render however, is just beautifully attractive and doesn't seem very realistic at all. The designer states tech specs like a Retina display on a circular watch design which definitely looks nice but we have to wonder where or how Apple would stick all the necessary hardware like a battery with this design. We think it very unlikely that this design will get picked up by Apple but you can enjoy it for yourself below nonetheless.

When the Sony Xperia Z first came out it created a big splash, which is why many people are quite excited about the Sony Xperia Sirius D6503, which may be the Sony Xperia Z 2. Screenshots of the cameraphone's camera app were recently leaked along with some possible tech specs and features as well. So far, estimated tech specs for the smartphone include a Snapdragon 800 processor, 5.2-inch Triluminous display, 3GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, a 20.7MP rear camera with 4K and 1080p at 60fps video recording and Android 4.4.2. Most of these tech specs are still unconfirmed, but the screenshot of the camera app seems to confirm that it will be able to record 4K video. No news on when exactly we might see a Malaysia release date or pricing, but we hope that it doesn't go too premium by the time it arrives.

A phone called the BlackBerry Ontario was recently spotted on the Geekbench benchmark site sporting a 2.15GHz Snapdragon 800 processor. Up until now, there has yet to be any BlackBerry phone with a quad-core processor, much less packing a new processor like the Snapdragon 800. Other tech specs and features include 2GB of RAM and BlackBerry 10.3.0.92 as the operating system. So far, the Ontario's appearance could be part of a deal BlackBerry signed with Foxconn to make lower-end BlackBerry phones and devices for the next five years. These devices are expected to retain BlackBerry's trademark physical QWERTY keypad despite the most recent BlackBerry Jakarta expected to arrive in Indonesia without a physical QWERTY keyboard. No news on Malaysia release dates or pricing but we expect the BlackBerry Ontario to appear sometime in or after Q3 of 2014.

Most smartwatches today tend to suffer from poor battery life. In comparison to your normal watch which lasts 1-2 years before needing a battery change, the longest period most smartwatches can last is about a week, and even then, that is with very minimal usage. HTC have recently come out saying that they have solved this battery life problem and could be coming out with a HTC smartwatch in late 2014. This news comes from an interview by Bloomberg where top HTC execs revealed that the company will be coming out with a wearable by the end of 2014. While they didn't confirm if it would be a smartwatch, smart glasses or smart band, we're guessing a smartwatch or smart band would be the device in question. No news on tech specs, pricing or compatibility, which are the other limitations of smartwatches but we're hoping that HTC do their research and go for a device below or around RM500 that can be used by all devices.

Based on current reports and rumours, Apple could be making or looking into a larger screen size for the Apple iPhone 6. These rumours point towards a 4.7-inch display with 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution and a 5.5-inch display with 1280 x 2272 pixel resolution. While there aren't any other tech specs, the displays will probably be made using IGZO technology which has better colours and energy efficiency. Based on these reports, the Concepts iPhone team of Enrico Penello and Ran Avni has come up with a concept video looking at how a larger screen could appear with the Apple iPhone 6. While the main design remains the same, the screen size is much larger and could offer Apple more opportunities in the larger screen smartphone market. However, Apple are also more likely to retain the 4-inch standard display form factor rather than replace it. Check out the video in the article for yourself.
