Samsung is reportedly preparing to introduce its first tri-fold smartphone this October, with early pricing estimates suggesting it could cost over RM14300 (approximately USD2600).

HONOR has officially announced the HONOR 9X Pro during the All-Scenario Intelligence Press Conference, and it is priced at 249 euros (~RM1143). In terms of the availability date, HONOR has mentioned that the aforementioned smartphone will be available in Malaysia from March 2020 onwards.

In the past few months, many small manufacturers have managed to create a stir in the market by announcing affordable smartphones with high-end specs. Another such startup company, called Xodium is all set to release a smartphone with the latest Snapdragon 805 processor for less than $350 (RM1220). Unfortunately, there are very little details about the new company except for a website from where you can pre-order the device. As for the tech specs, the Xodium comes with a 2.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor, 3GB RAM and 32GB/64GB internal storage with MicroSD card support. Featuring a 5.5-inch quad HD display up front, the company may have taken some inspiration from the recently unveiled Meizu MX4 Pro. As for the camera, you get a 16MP rear camera with phase detection autofocus and OIS along with a 5MP front camera sensor. It runs on the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop OS and comes with a 3200mAh battery inside. You get all these for an incredible price of $329 (RM1143) for the 32GB version and $379 (RM1317) for the 64GB version. According to the website, the Xodium requires no invites or contests and will ship to any country in the world. This could well be vapourware though, so we recommend taking a wait and see approach just to be safe.

Celcom has recently released packages for the new Sony Xperia Tablet Z from a subsidized price of RM1438. While this super slim and thin water-resistant tablet will be launched officially in Malaysia on 19 June 2013, Celcom are launching the tablet on 15 June 2013. The First Data plans that come with the packages are mainly for LTE connectivity but you can also get voice, SMS or MMS on a pay-per-use basis. This is because the tablet doesn't support calls or SMS but you can use the SIM in a smartphone as well. Check out all the details in the table below:
