Digital Minister Gobind Singh Deo has reassured Malaysians that their personal data will remain secure, emphasising that the upcoming MyGOV Malaysia app will not store sensitive personal information. This comes amid growing public interest and concern over how the government handles citizen data.

It was only two months ago that we reported on the MyGOV Malaysia Mobile App. Today, the Malaysian government has unveiled the Beta version of the MyGOV Malaysia App, now available for download. Branded with the ethos of “Aplikasi Rakyat Untuk Rakyat”, the MyGOV is not promoted just as another app, but is redefining how citizens access public services.

Today, the Malaysian government announced that its MyGOV Malaysia Mobile App will officially launch in July 2025. Designed as a single digital gateway to government services, the app is part of the broader GovTech transformation under the Ministry of Digital, led by Minister Gobind Singh Deo.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob yesterday launched MyGovCloud, a cloud computing service which serves as an upgrade to the Public Sector Data Centre (PDSA). Moving forward, the new service will be used by all government agencies.
