While this may look surreal, the Movement Restriction will begin from 18 March until 31 March 2020 as an initiative to minimize the impact of the COVID-19 outbreak. The government has ordered all private businesses to be closed down until further notice and many were wondering if Grab will cease operation. Thankfully, they are not.

You can now look forward to flying to your favourite destinations with cheaper airport transfers. GrabCar is lowering its fixed fares to and from KLIA and KLIA2 from RM90 to RM65 per journey. This basically makes GrabCar the cheapest door-to-door on demand car ride in the Klang Valley when it comes to getting to the airport!

From the RM1 GrabCar promotion they started back in 7-13 April 2016, it does look like GrabCar is pleased with the results of their short term campaign. Since then they have revamped their base rate from RM1.40 to RM1 and also removed their minimum charge. These changes will take place immediately from 18 April 2016, and they will stick to this new fare structure from now on. With that, any short rides within 5KM are no longer subjected to the minimum charge (initially RM7) and should cost you way less than RM7 now.
