We did a review on the MateBook D15 a few months back, so you can check that out for an idea of how the laptop would perform. But anyway, this new variant of the device will sport AMD's latest Ryzen Mobile CPUs.

In years past, laptop manufacturers have always stuck with Intel CPU. But this year, AMD bulldozed its way back into contention in the mobile CPU space, with many laptops now featuring the companies mobile Ryzen CPUs. The latest one that may get it is a new Huawei MateBook D series laptop, which is going to be equipped with a CPU from the Ryzen 4000 Mobile series.

Huawei first launched its new series of MateBook laptops back in February which is the MateBook D15 that we reviewed previously. Today, we got to unbox another laptop from the company which is the HUAWEI MateBook X Pro that is now available in Malaysia.

The thin and light segment of laptops is just about to get a few newcomers. Huawei first launched its new series of MateBook laptops back in February, one of which we've previously reviewed not long after the official reveal. Today, the company has announced that its flagship MateBook X Pro is also coming soon with new upgrades and will be available in Malaysia.

When the Huawei Matebook D 15 was first unveiled in Malaysia, it was priced at only RM2299 for the 256GB SSD variant while the variant that has an additional 1TB HDD is priced at RM2499. Furthermore, Huawei also mentioned that the laptop would make a great companion especially for users who are productivity-focused and are also using a Huawei smartphone due to the Huawei Share feature.

Other than that, the laptop also comes with various quality of life features and it is also quite lightweight from only 1.53 kg, which can be useful for those who are constantly on the go. With that said, let’s have a closer look at the Huawei Matebook D 15 and check out the features as well as how it performs as my daily driver.

The Huawei Mate Xs isn’t the only thing we can get excited for at today’s Huawei's press event, there were also other powerful devices being introduced to the world by the company’s CEO Richard Yu as well. The devices included two new Matebook series to complete the Huawei’s laptop family. One of them is the new and upgraded Matebook X Pro and the other one would be the Matebook D series.

Huawei has officially announced that the Huawei MateBook D 15 laptop, which is priced at RM2499 during the sale has officially sold in locations such as IOI City Mall, Sunway Pyramid, Queensbay Mall, as well as Imago Mall. Those who managed to get their hands on the aforementioned laptop were also eligible to receive attractive freebies such as a Bluetooth mouse, FreeBuds 3 and a copy of Microsoft 365.

Huawei has officially announced that you could get up to RM1287 worth of freebies, if you purchase the Huawei MateBook D 15 laptop worth RM2499 on 18 January 2020 during the Huawei Roadshow. The aforementioned roadshow will be held at selected locations including the Sunway Pyramid, IOI City Mall, Queensbay Mall, as well as Imago Mall in Sabah.

With the Huawei MateBook D 15 officially going on sale on 18 January 2020, Huawei has officially announced that you could stand a chance to win the aforementioned laptop for free. In terms of the dates, the contest starts from now until 12 January 2020 and the winners will be picked on 13 January 2020.
