Things are getting pretty interesting in the war against the notches and this time the latest innovation comes from ASUS. From leaked renders by Twitter leaker @evleaks show that the upcoming ASUS Zenfone may sport a dual slider. It was not specified which model of the ASUS Zenfone this could be but it might just be the ASUS Zenfone 6 as the team who created these renders are the same people who designed the ASUS Zenfone 5.

DxOMark recently weighed in with their analysis of 2018, particularly for cameraphones and smartphone cameras. While the reigning champion Huawei P20 Pro remains at the top with a score of 109 and LEICA Triple rear cameras, all of the top 5 cameraphones of 2018 utilized multiple camera setups including the Apple iPhone XS Max at 2nd place, HTC U12 Plus at 3rd, Samsung Galaxy Note 9 in 4th and the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 in 5th making it the year of the multicamera cameraphone.

Another round of the ASUS ZenFone RM1 Frenzy deal is back in the ASUS Official Store on Lazada! The RM1 Frenzy deal will start at 3PM sharp on 24 July 2018. However, you need to act fast as there are limited units of the devices available. To be exact, there are 2 units of ASUS ZenFone 5 and 10 units of the ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M1 up for grabs.

So apparently, ASUS Malaysia has collaborated with Lazada TV Livestream yesterday showcasing the new ZenFone phones lineup - ZenFone 5, ZenFone Max Pro M1 and ZenFone Live. Throughout the live stream session, they did some giveaway prizes but lo and behold, to reward their fans they have announced a new flash sales - The RM1 Frenzy (sayyy whhaaatttt??!)

Offering a midrange Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset, a stock Android 8.1 interface with a massive 5000 mAh battery and 5.99-inch fullview fullHD+ display, we take the phone through its paces but you can see for yourself here.

Based on the scores on DxOMark, the Asus Zenfone 5 scored 90 marks which is about the same as the Google Pixel making it an excellent choice for those who are looking to own a mid-range segment phone. The Asus Zenfone 5 houses a 12MP main camera which feature a Dual-Pixel autofocus along with a secondary super wide-angle-lens 8MP secondary camera.

ASUS have officially launched their ASUS ZenFone Live L1 ZA550KL smartphone featuring a 5. 5-inch HD+ (1440 x 720 pixels) Fullview display, Snapdragon 425 processor, 1GB/2GB RAM and 16GB of storage + up to 2TB microSD in Indonesia. Previously, the ASUS ZenFone Live's claim to fame was its live beautifying feature which could be used while streaming live, and this Live L1 version seems to be the fullview display refresh.

The ASUS ZenFone 5 ZE620KL was apparently spotted in the wild showing off a full view display and a notch in the top middle for the front camera. Coming courtesy of @bgssilva the live shot is further supported by leaked press renders from @rquandt of the upcoming ZenFone 5 series. It is still unclear if only the Zenfone 5 ZE620KL is the only ZenFone with the iPhone X like notched display as the previously leaked ZenFone 5 Lite did not have any notch but the schematics below do show a USB Type C port and 3.5mm audio jack. Ahead of the upcoming #backto5 ASUS ZenFone 5 series launch at MWC, leaked images from the ASUS X00PD smartphone manual have surfaced along with some tech specs. These include a 5.7-inch 18:9 aspect ratio display, dual rear cameras, a rear fingerprint sensor and a rather lower-end microUSB port.

The invites are out for the new range of ASUS ZenFone 5 smartphones and they are apparently coming on 27 February 2018 at MWC (Mobile World Congress). No Malaysia release dates or pricing details but you can watch it for yourself at the ASUS pressroom. The invite clearly says that these new ZenFones will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon processors but there aren't any other clues asides from the #BackTo5 hashtag.
