Based on a statement by wabetainfo.com, it seems that the developers of WhatsApp could be planning on introducing Facial Recognition for Android smartphones in the future. While there is no official information in regards to when the feature will be officially available, there’s also no info on which smartphone will support it as well.

With the announcement of HarmonyOS 2.0 back in last month, many are expecting HUAWEI to bring the in-house operating system (OS) to smartphones. However, it was revealed earlier that the Chinese tech giant will only launch the first smartphone with the HarmonyOS next year.
