Today, apart from announcing the latest Apple Watch Series 6 and Watch SE, Apple also announced the iPad lineup. As speculated, the revamped iPad Air (2020) was introduced and so as the iPad 8th-Gen with new tech specs and features. No availability for the Malaysian market yet but the official prices are starting from RM2599 and RM1449 respectively.

Back in May, it was rumoured that Apple could be working on two new tablets. These could be the iPad 4 series and a new iPad Mini series to go with the latest iPad Pro that launched in March. Now, new reports claim that Apple is getting shipments of components for a new iPad in Q3 2020, so a new iPad could arrive as early as Q4 2020.

Apple has officially announced the new iPads namely the iPad Air, iPad Mini, iPad Pro as well as various new services during the Apple Event that happened at the Steve Jobs Theater located in Cupertino, California.

Another year, another new Apple iPad mini tablet. However, this year's Apple iPad mini 3 does not really bring much innovation or change to the table, unlike the previous Apple iPad mini 2 which was basically a smaller Apple iPad Air. While we've yet to see any news on Malaysia release dates or pricing for the Apple iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3, the Apple Malaysia Store has already revealed the updated pricing for the previous Apple iPad tablets. This includes a price drop for all of the tablets including the iPad Air, iPad mini and iPad mini 2 of about RM150 to RM300 or so for each. The iPad mini now only has 16GB versions, while the iPad mini 2 has 16GB and 32GB versions. The previous iPad 4 has also been removed from listings, leaving the iPad Air with 16GB and 32GB versions. We mentioned this happening earlier but Apple's Red Friday one-day sale has started. As expected the discounts aren't really that high, but they are a good incentive to get a new Apple product. That's right, rather than sell old products for cheap, the Apple Malaysia Store are selling mostly new and current Apple products like the Apple iPad Air and iPad mini with Retina Display. Maxis, Celcom and DiGi have all made the Apple iPad Air available in Malaysia on their various plans and packages. Celcom recently opened plans for the Apple iPad Air starting from RM1248. Quite obviously, the plans are for the Apple iPad Air 4G LTE Cellular version covering the 16GB, 32GB and 64GB models. Celcom are currently offering the deal on their Celcom First iPad plans for both 12 month and 24 month contracts. Of note is the fact that the monthly commitment is quite low, from just RM50 up to RM100. For more details check out the table and links in this article.

Completing the major Malaysian Telco Apple iPad Air offers is DiGi who are offering the tablet on a zero contract package from RM1453. Unfortunately, the catch is that it is only for the 16GB Apple iPad Air 4G LTE Cellular version and there is only one plan for it. You also have to pay an upfront payment and advance payment as well. The good news is that the early payment will be rebated back to you over the course of 24 months, but if you decide to terminate or shift plans, you lose this early payment. Maxis has recently revealed the Malaysia pricing for the Apple iPad Air 4G Cellular version beginning from RM2049 for the 16GB version, RM2299 for the 32GB version and RM2649 for the 64GB version. While these are the retail prices, the Apple iPad Air Cellular version is available on Maxis SurfMore data plans from RM1449 on a 24 month contract.
