Rumours: Apple might come up with 2 or 3 iPhone 8 variants

Back on Wednesday, a rumour from Nikkei was found online saying that Apple will plan to unveil three iPhone 8 devices next year, with the standard 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch model along with the return of the 5-inch model. But it seems that won't be happening, as another source that is familiar with Apple iPhone plans claiming that only two will come, leaving out the 5-inch model.

Rumours: Apple iPhone 7 new design leaked?

If you're an Apple fan and like reading rumours, chances are you've heard that the upcoming Apple iPhone 7 will look quite similar to the iPhone 6s which sounds kind like a bummer. However, Apple blogger John Gruber thinks otherwise, and he has shared some interesting information about next year's iPhone design.

  • Use your Apple iPhone camera like never before with Pictar iPhone camera-grip

Use your Apple iPhone camera like never before with Pictar iPhone camera-grip

Pictar is an iPhone accessory that will enable you to use your iPhone camera in a way you never thought you could before. It comes with five external buttons for controlling the iPhone camera like how you would usually handle a DLSR. These buttons will help unleash your iPhone camera so you can capture much better pictures all the time.

Pictar multi-state shutter comes with maximum sensitivity, similar to the likes of traditional DLSR where merely pressing the shutter button halfway will force the camera to lock its focus and exposure to track a moving subject. To take a photo, simply pressing the shutter down in full will do the trick.

  • All Apple iPhones drop tested

    All Apple iPhones drop tested

The folks at TechRax did a drop test for all of the Apple iPhone smartphones. This included a side drop and front facing drop for each iPhone onto a hard driveway, revealing that while most of the iPhones can take a beating from the side, nearly all of them smashed from the front. Granted, the front of the Apple iPhone 3G did not shatter but this was mainly due to luck as it dropped on the side first. While it doesn't seem to show any difference from beginning to end, it does show that if you're going to get any Apple iPhone, the first thing you should do is get a shock-proof casing around it quick because an accidental front drop will probably result in a shattered screen. Check it out for yourself in this article.

5 Reasons you should buy an Apple iPhone 6 / iPhone 6 Plus

The Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus mark the first smartphones from Apple to go larger than the previous 4-inch display of the Apple iPhone 5S. Whether it was because they were finally listening to all the Apple fans and users who wanted a bigger screen, or because there is now a huge market for phablets and bigger screen smartphones, the 4.7-inch display Apple iPhone 6 and 5.5-inch display Apple iPhone 6 Plus are here to stay. While many people are enjoying the thinner and rounded looks on the two Apple iPhones, many are still on the fence about it and still have not made the decision to buy either the iPhone 6 or the iPhone 6 Plus. Check out our 5 reasons to buy the Apple iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus below if you need some help deciding or making up your mind.

  • Maxis now lets you trade in ANY smartphone for an Apple iPhone 5s

Maxis now lets you trade in ANY smartphone for an Apple iPhone 5s

Previously Maxis had a trade in program where you could trade in certain smartphones for the Apple iPhone 5s. With the impending release of the next Apple iPhone, Maxis are stepping it up by now accepting all smartphones. A minimum RM200 discount will be given for any smartphone traded in at any Maxis Centre or Maxis Exclusive Partner store in Malaysia. Higher-end or more valuable smartphones get better discounts. As before, this will be done on the Maxis iValue postpaid plan and you will have to sign up for a 24-month contract. Again, all you need to do is bring in the trade-in smartphone itself. Check out the table and links in this article for more details.

  • Maxis lets you trade-in your smartphone for an Apple iPhone 5s starting at RM0

Maxis lets you trade-in your smartphone for an Apple iPhone 5s starting at RM0

As if preparing early for the coming of the Apple iPhone 6, Maxis have opened up a trade-in program for the Apple iPhone 5s. You will need to have an iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, Samsung Galaxy S3 or Galaxy Note 2 you're not using though, as these 4 smartphones are the only ones Maxis will accept for the trade-in. The trade-in period is from now till 31 July 2014 (which sort of makes us think we could see the iPhone 6 sooner than earlier expected). You will have to sign up for a Maxis iValue plan under a 24 month contract though. Loyal Maxis users who have been with Maxis longer than 1 year won't have to pay the advance payment. Maxis won't require you to bring the box, charger or accessories when you trade-in your old smartphone but you'll have to go to a Maxis Center or Maxis Exclusive Partner shop to do the trade-in. Check out the details in the table and links in this article.
