Today, Razer Merchant Services (RMS) officially announced that Apple Pay for merchants is now supported for online and offline channels. With this, iPhone and Apple Watch users can use Apple Pay for Razer products seamlessly when checking out. 

Apple Pay officially entered Malaysia in August last year, though not many banks provide support for the feature at launch. Well, some 5 months later, it looks like Apple Pay is getting more traction, with HSBC being the latest bank to integrate the contactless payment feature with its credit cards. 

Apple Pay arrived in Malaysia last month, and the local banks are trying to make their cards work with the payment service. Today, Maybank has announced that its American Express cards can also get linked to Apple Pay, starting from now on. 

After some accidental publishing of web pages for Apple Pay support by the banks, Apple has finally officially announced that the payment service is now in Malaysia. The service will work with Visa and Mastercard cards from banks including AmBank, Maybank, and Standard Chartered Bank, while American Express will be added to the list later this year.

As some of you already know, Maybank and Ambank have officially launched their Apple Pay service. But are there any other banks? Well, yes albeit only one at the moment which is Standard Chartered bank. 

Earlier today, AmBank published a web page revealing its support for Apple Pay. However, due to unknown reasons, it has been taken down. Until now, Maybank goes through the same thing by publishing a web page dedicated to the payment service and deleting it afterwards.

Apple Pay is increasingly appearing a lot more lately. Just last week, users spotted the feature promotion coming soon on Shopee and Maxis, then now it was on Ambank's website. Initially, Ambank did tease Apple Pay a few weeks ago via SMS but now, the web portal that was up had already been taken down.

Yesterday, we reported that Shopee may be adding the option for consumers in Malaysia to make purchases via Apple Pay and now, it looks like the payment method is coming to other merchants too. The latest of which is the telco company Maxis, whereby a placard allegedly on display in one of its centres shows that Apple Pay is now accepted there.

If you were purchasing an item on Shopee today, you may have noticed a new payment method - Apple Pay. Granted, Apple Pay is not official in Malaysia but this is hinting at its arrival. Or at least that's what we think.

iOS 13.6 was just released about two days ago and the update includes support for digital car keys as well as some new symptoms category in the Health app and other minor bug fixes. However, what they didn't mention was that there's an Apple Pay option appearing in the Settings!
