It seems that DBKL has recently released a statement on their Facebook page stating that motorists will not be able to pay for parking via the parking payment machines, starting from 1 October 2020. Instead, DBKL will only accept payments via apps such as EZ Smart Park, Flexiparking, Wilayah Parking, as well as M-Cash in order to pay for their parking.

Earlier, the e-PENJANA program that has raised a total of RM1.5 billion among private companies was introduced to distribute free RM50 (e-wallet credit) + RM50 (discount voucher and cashback) to every Malaysian e-wallet user. Now, the plan is finally going to kickstart starting from 31 July onwards.
