News & Reviews:   Blackberry Mercury announce

A short video posted by the General Manager of TCL in America hints that Blackberry is going to announce their (possibly last) QWERTY smartphone during CES2017. The video in question shows a quick glimpse of the code-name Mercury smartphone, showing the classic physical keyboard.

We have talked about the Blackberry Mercury – the last in-house designed Blackberry smartphone after the Priv. While the two most recent models were a collaboration with their manufacturing partner TCL, this model will be fully designed in-house, and will be the swan song of the design team at Blackberry.

If you remember last week we talked about a new smartphone coming from Blackberry with a physical keyboard? Well, BlackBerry CEO John Chen has confirmed in a TV interview that his company is in fact working on it, as a continuation of the range of smartphones from the company, which includes the Priv, DTEK50 and DTEK60.
