Previously, we reported on the Ministry of Transport’s (MOT) plan to allow users to pay for public transportation in our country with debit and credit cards. Further breaking Touch ’n Go’s monopoly is the Works Ministry’s decision to allow toll payments via the same methods.

Well, we may get an announcement for when this open payment system would be implemented in both soon. This after Pay with Debit recently teased the matter via its official social media accounts.

Since eBelia started rolling out yesterday, Shopee Malaysia just announced that they have recorded an overwhelming registration of 500,000 on ShopeePay. Like other eWallet platforms with similar benefits, the kids also got a guaranteed additional RM500 worth of vouchers on top of the RM150 eBelia credit.

If you have yet to spend your RM50 ePenjana credit, use it all before the end of 30 September 2020 because it will expire at the end of the day. Not only that, but vouchers from Grab, Touch n’ Go eWallet, and Lazada may expire on the same day as well, so act fast before they disappear!

The Maybank Grab Mastercard Platinum Credit Card has been officially unveiled where you can earn up to 5 times more rewards, which you can apply starting from today onwards at any Maybank branch in Malaysia. Furthermore, if you were to apply for the aforementioned credit card online before 30 September, you’ll be eligible for an Edifier TWS1 True Wireless Earbuds if you spend a minimum of RM300 within 45 days of the credit card approval date.

Based on a statement by engadget.com, it seems that Huawei is planning on offering their own credit card, similar to Apple's which was release on August of 2019. While it is not known whether the card will be made out of metal, we do know that it will be backed by China’s UnionPay and it supports features such as NFC for one-touch payment.
