In 2022, Celcom and Digi began talks to merge the two companies, that would eventually become CelcomDigi. Hoping to utilize the best of both telcos, initial signs indicated that there was some improvement but lately, quite a few CelcomDigi users from our Facebook page have said that it has become worse since their merger. On paper, pulling all the resources from both sides should make the mobile internet experience better but it became the opposite instead.

Today, Celcom Axiata Berhad had launched the Celcom Business Suite for Retail. It combines a one-stop digital communication and operational solutions that are specially designed to go and digitise the retail businesses.

With 31 of August 2019 coming up on Saturday, Axiata Group Berhad and Celcom Axiata Berhad showcased a short film on unity in Malaysia called ‘Getaran Pertama’ about the first choir to sing ‘Negaraku’. Based on true events in 1957, the film utilizes holographic technology and will be available for viewing from 12.00am on 28 August 2019 at the Celcom site with outreach activities showcasing the film with choir performances happening on 30 August 2019 from 6.00pm to 7.00pm.

The era of 5G is upon us and Celcom is not wasting any time to be one of the first to utilize the feature. Their plans go beyond just upload and download speeds. They plan on delving into IoT (Internet of Things) which go beyond internet speeds.

A new challenger is now in the Malaysian Mobile Legends Bang Bang (MLBB) scene, the XPAX X-ASSINS. The team is under XpaX by Celcom consisting of a 6 man team who will be making their debut in the Mobile Legends Professional League (MPL) Season 3 on the 18th of January.

Celcom Axiata just announced their Quarter over Quarter (QoQ) results of Q1 2018 with a QoQ Retail Touchpoint Net Promoter Score increment of 9 points due to better Customer Experience for Q1 2018. This was noted with a 53% drop in customer complaints compared to Q1 2017.

Celcom officially launched their new Celcom Home Wireless utilizing Celcom's mobile 4G Network with up to 150GB of Internet and 1 Terabyte of Walla. Speeds are expected to average around 30Mbps while the actual modem (a Huawei B618 Modem with an RRP of RM1500) does not require any wall hacking or fibre availability. All you need is to be within the coverage area and have a nearby power socket.

Celcom have officially launched their new Xpax plans including their Xpax Postpaid, Xpax Prepaid along with Xpax Youth which is designed exclusively for consumers aged 25 years old and below while offering 50% more Internet. Accessible via the new Celcom Life app, the Xpax Starter Pack offers 10GB Basic Internet for free, RM6 preloaded credit and 300 MB Internet activation Bonus for a validity of 5 days at just RM10. The starter pack also lets users choose one free monthly freebie including 10GB of Facebook, 10GB of Instagram, 3GB of YouTube or Unlimited High Speed WhatsApp, WeChat and Twitter.

Today, Celcom Axiata Berhad has announced its fourth quarter business report, thus also presenting 2017 year in review as a whole, with an uplifting performance after three consecutive of decline. One of the main highlights include Customer Service, Postpaid business and more.
