Previously, we reported on the Ministry of Transport’s (MOT) plan to allow users to pay for public transportation in our country with debit and credit cards. Further breaking Touch ’n Go’s monopoly is the Works Ministry’s decision to allow toll payments via the same methods.

Well, we may get an announcement for when this open payment system would be implemented in both soon. This after Pay with Debit recently teased the matter via its official social media accounts.

It seems that Samsung might be launching their own debit card which comes equipped with a “money management platform”, which is expected to be unveiled somewhere around Q3 2020. While not much is known in regards to the pricing in order to sign up for the debit card, we do know that Samsung will be releasing more details in the next few weeks.
