In 2022, Celcom and Digi began talks to merge the two companies, that would eventually become CelcomDigi. Hoping to utilize the best of both telcos, initial signs indicated that there was some improvement but lately, quite a few CelcomDigi users from our Facebook page have said that it has become worse since their merger. On paper, pulling all the resources from both sides should make the mobile internet experience better but it became the opposite instead. 

Digi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd (Digi) is welcoming the new year with better experiences and more exciting offers through Digi Juara Internet 2023. These include free smartphones, faster internet with the addition of 5G network, as well as better value-for-money deals across its range of Prepaid, Postpaid and Fibre products.

Earlier today we reported that the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) has approved the merger between Celcom and Digi. Now, a further look into the approval shows that it comes with certain requirements, including the divestment of the Yoodo brand.

OpenSignal recently announced test results of Malaysia's 6 main mobile operators in terms of 4G signal availability and download speeds. The results point to Yes followed by Maxis leading the pack which includes Celcom, Digi, U Mobile and Webe.

Calling all Apple fanboys, Digi is opening up pre-orders for the latest and greatest Apple iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus starting 13 October 2017 on their official website as well as their physical Digi Stores and Digi Store Express.
