Huawei seems to be working on perfecting its under-display camera technology as a recent device patent application by the Chinese tech giants reveals a smartphone display without a cutout. Furthermore, the patent doesn’t show a pop-up camera mechanism either, which could only mean that it would utilise an under-display camera.

As reported by IT Home who shared screenshots of the patent application, there are no openings on the smartphone’s display like many other modern smartphones. The front side of the smartphone seems to be all screen with a display that curves to its sides and thin bezels on its top and bottom.

HUAWEI HarmonyOS is getting its next upgrade soon, according to one of the company's employees. The last version of the operating system, which is HarmonyOS 2.0, debuted in September 2020 at the Huawei Developer Conference. Therefore, it makes sense for HarmonyOS 3.0 to arrive in this time frame.
