Today, Hong Leong Bank and Hong Leong Islamic Bank (“HLB” or the “Bank”) just launched a new Emergency Lock for both the HLB Connect online as well as the mobile banking app. As part of the Bank’s ongoing efforts to promote safer online banking practices, customers can now block their account(s) if they suspect they have fallen prey to a scam, without needing to contact the bank call centre first.

Today, Google Malaysia is excited to announce Google Wallet is now available in Malaysia. Like other eWallets, Google Wallet provides a simpler and other helpful payment experience to people, as well as supporting digital items such as boarding passes and credit cards. 

As some of you already know, Maybank and Ambank have officially launched their Apple Pay service. But are there any other banks? Well, yes albeit only one at the moment which is Standard Chartered bank. 

What's a bank doing on Shopee? That's a good question and we are as curious as you are. Hong Leong Bank is the first Malaysian bank to appear on Shopee Mall and it seems to be activated at 9 AM today. Here's what you need to know about their products online.
