Good news to all Honor 6X users out there. Honor USA just announced that they are rolling out the Android Nougat + EMUI 5.0 update to all 6X units! This means software enhancements such as an all new UI redesign, an increase in phone security as well as overall phone performance.

Just as rumoured, the Honor 6X was officially revealed in a media workshop here from RM1199 for the 3GB RAM / 32GB storage version and RM1399 for the the 4GB RAM / 64GB storage. They can be pre-ordered from today till 16 February 2017 in grey, silver and gold with the first 50 pre-orders getting a free Honor turbine earphone, casing and RM100 petrol voucher.

The Honor 6X is rumoured to have a Malaysian launch and pre-order on Valentine’s Day, 14th February 2017, with delivery happening on 17th February! The rumoured price is RM1199 for the 3GB RAM and 32GB storage version.

As usual for JerryRigEverything, they really like to test the durability of smartphones and the latest to go through this is the Honor 6X. Featuring a dual rear camera setup (12MP + 2MP) on a metal backside with a fingerprint scanner, the Honor 6X has yet to arrive here in Malaysia but we think this will be very soon. While you can watch the "torture tests" yourself below, all we can say is, best to get the phone with a case, so if Honor Malaysia comes out with an intro promo for that (hint, hint guys!) we really recommend you take it.

It appears that Honor's VR phone is coming soon as a the Honor DUK-TL30 has appeared at TENAA bearing a 5.7-inch display with 2K pixel resolution and 6GB RAM. Other tech specs include 128GB of storage and 12MP + 2MP dual rear cameras much like the Honor 6X.
The Huawei WAS-AL00 on the other hand, features a 5.2-inch FHD display, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, 2900 mAh battery and a single 12MP rear camera. No Malaysia release dates or any news if Malaysia will be getting these devices at all, but stay tuned to TechNave.com to stay updated.

This week Malaysia saw the Bajet 2017, with a proposed increase in broadband speeds at the same price rate from January 2017, while Malaysia's telcos all came out with their respective Apple iPhone 7 deals. After a few teasers, the new Honor 6X has been officially announced featuring dual 12MP rear cameras, a metal unibody, a fingerprint sensor, and 3GB RAM and 4GB RAM options. Detailed tech specs reveal a Kirin 655 chipset with 2.1GHz octa-core processor, 5.5-inch FHD display, microSD support, hybrid SIM, 4G VoLTE, 3340 mAh fast charging battery and 3GB RAM / 32 GB storage going for 999 yuan (RM622) or 4GB RAM / 64GB storage for 1599 yuan (RM995).

As previously reported, the Honor 6x will be launching on 18 October 2016 in China. However, that's not the only product that the company will be showing, apparently they are also planning to showcase a new smartwatch with a recently released teaser online.
