HONOR Malaysia has officially announced that in conjunction with the 63rd Merdeka Celebration, get up to 63% discount on selected HONOR products from 17 August until 16 September 2020. The sale will take place on HONOR’s official website, as well as their many Experience Stores can be found across Malaysia.

If the HONOR 9X is a mid-tier smartphone with a touch of style, its higher variant HONOR 9X Pro is a more gaming-centric, faster-performance version of the two. For its affordable price of RM999, it is quite a sophisticated offering for a mid-tier device.

Due to the Movement Control Order (MCO) that began back on 18 March 2020, HONOR Malaysia had to postpone its original 19 March 2020 launch date for the HONOR 9X Pro. We already had our hands on the phone before its Malaysian launching, so here's what we think of an HONOR device that runs with a Huawei Mobile Service (HMS) ecosystem.

When HONOR launched the 9X Pro in Malaysia last week, the company announced that it will start selling the device in stores on 17 April 2020. However, we won't be able to go out now that the movement control order (MCO) has been extended, so that idea is out the window. Instead, the device will now be sold online.

Today, HONOR Malaysia have finally launched their Intelligent Lifestyle event. Introducing the long-awaited HONOR 9X Pro, the phone price is revealed to be RM999 and consumers can now pre-order the phone with the following details below. Asides from that, the MagicBook laptop and MagicWatch 2 were also announced for RM2299 and RM799 respectively.

Previously, HONOR Malaysia had to postpone their Intelligent Lifestyle event due to the Movement Control Order period. Now, after a week plus, the company have officially announced that the event will be back on 7 April 2020 via livestream.

Following the Movement Restriction Order by the Malaysia Government, many businesses have taken precautionary measures to close down temporarily in order to reduce human contact. For HONOR Malaysia, they have decided to do the same as well by temporarily closing their Experience Stores and postpone the HONOR 9X Pro launch. 

Based on HONOR Malaysia’s official website, it seems that the upcoming HONOR 9X Pro is expected to be unveiled on 19 March 2020. While not much is known in regards to the exact Malaysian pricing of the aforementioned website, it will most likely be priced around RM1100.

HONOR has officially announced the HONOR 9X Pro during the All-Scenario Intelligence Press Conference, and it is priced at 249 euros (~RM1143). In terms of the availability date, HONOR has mentioned that the aforementioned smartphone will be available in Malaysia from March 2020 onwards.
