HONOR Malaysia today unveiled its ambition to hold 20% market share in our country by the end of 2024. In a press release, HONOR Malaysia shared the company’s growth over the past 4 years since gaining independence in 2020.

HONOR has confirmed that it is launching its first-ever flip-style foldable smartphone sometime this year, though no exact date was given. Now in its final internal stage, read on to find out more.

There are a few trade shows that are scheduled each year. One is the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in January, and the other is the Mobile World Congress (MWC) that usually happens in March. Most expect MWC to largely remain virtual this year, but that's not stopping companies like Honor from showing up.

A new Honor smartphone teaser was just announced today by Huawei on Facebook, we don’t know what device it would be but we can confirm that the official date is 5 April 2017 and a live event launch (perhaps a livestream?) will start at 10.30 GMT.

2016 was an interesting year for smartphones, the year Huawei introduced their dual Leica camera lens P9 phone, along with Samsung’s critically acclaimed Galaxy S7 and S7 edge, also not forgetting Apple’s “courage” to remove the headphone jack on the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus entirely. This week quite a lot happened as Huawei came out with their Honor Magic concept phone for sale with all the sides and corners curved. Wiko announced their Ufeel Go phone with 4000 mAh battery for just RM599 and the ASUS ZenWatch 3 also got announced for RM1199. You can also pre-order Apple's AirPods for RM849.

We have talked about the upcoming Honor concept phone, that is expected to be launched sometime in the middle of December. Now however a possible leaked photo of the Honor Magic has popped up online, and it showcases a large screen that looks to be a joy to use.

The success of the P9 and Mate 9 has made Huawei one of the brands that consumers are fast flocking to. Of course innovation must not stop, and Huawei is a company known for its mobility innovation stories. This time around however their next step in innovation may go through its younger brand – honor.
