Rumours suggested that HUAWEI will stick to the older generation of Qualcomm Snapdragon chip for the upcoming Mate 50 series, as we all know why. Previously, it was reported that it would be a 4G variant of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, but it seems like it's going back further.

According to this new report, the HUAWEI Mate 50 series would debut earlier than its predecessor. The Mate 40 arrived on the scene in October 2022, with the upcoming next-generation Mate devices said to be revealed to the public as early as September.

Last year, HUAWEI only announced the P50 series and skipped the Mate 50. However, it doesn't mean that the company has given up on the flagship series, as rumours claim it'd still bring it to the market this year. Before the event takes place, the device's renders have surfaced, revealing a familiar circular camera module.

For the last few years, Huawei has been denied access to 5G components. Instead, the company has been using 4G variants of Snapdragon and Kirin chipsets. But that might change in 2022, as sources claim to have spotted the Huawei Mate 50 with 5G connectivity.

There were plenty of rumours about the Huawei Mate 50 before it is launches. Here we spotted the leaks mentioned that the company is going to launch the device and another foldable smartphone in Q1 2022.

Due to the delay for the HUAWEI P50 series, the company's usual smartphone launching schedule gets messed up. The Mate 50 series that was supposed to debut this year will only arrive in 2022. Until now, we have received the latest information that the upcoming Mate 50 will use Qualcomm's next-gen flagship SoC, Snapdragon 898, but it will lack an important feature.

HUAWEI has a tradition of launching two flagship smartphone series in a year. One of them is the P series, while another one is the Mate series. The company had successfully presented the P50 series earlier this year, even though it was postponed due to well-known reasons. For the latter, it's reported that the Mate 50 won't make an appearance this year. However, it seems like it was a false alarm, and the company could actually launch the series before the end of 2021.

It's been some time since Huawei unveiled HarmonyOS globally and although they showcased the Huawei P50 series image render, we don't know when it will arrive. That said, there is a new rumour that we might not see the Mate 50 series at all this year.
