    Malaysia named top-mover climbing to 5 positions on the Huawei Global Connectivity Index 2017 report

    As reported in the Huawei Global Connectivity Index (GCI) 2017, the fourth annual study shows in the 50 countries that were analyzed, Malaysia climbed five positions in the ranks due to the government’s aggressive investment to improve its international bandwidth, 4G coverage and Cloud over the past three years.

It’s noted that this is the first year that GSMA has chosen to present the award for 5th generation mobile networks (5G), which Huawei showcased at the event with their “4.5G Evolution to 5G” solution for high-quality coverage, ultra-large capacity and flexible network architecture, helping operators to keep ahead on the road to 5G and making it a reality.

This could be due to various negative economic factors, amongst, which included the weakening Malaysian Ringgit against US Dollar, as well as the rising costs of living in Malaysia.
