BigPay today announced the launch of cash pickup services in Indonesia and the Philippines, a new addition to its existing remittance services. Called ‘Cash Pickup’, this new feature allows BigPay users in Malaysia and Singapore to send money to recipients in the aforementioned countries even if the recipients don’t have any bank accounts.

A new study by Visa have found that 93 percent of consumers in Southeast Asia have embraced cashless payment methods, including cards, contactless cards and mobile contactless, mobile wallets and QR code payments. Furthermore, the study found that 74 percent of Malaysian consumers have successfully gone cashless.

It seems that Xiaomi’s upcoming Xiaomi Mi Band 6 have been spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards, hinting that it will come equipped with SpO2 monitor, GPS, and more. While not much is known in regards to the Malaysia release date, the fact that it was spotted on the Indonesian Telecom certification website hints that it could be happening very soon.

Based on a report by thestar.com.my, Indonesian’s most popular motorcycle hailing service called Go-Jek could be available in Malaysia very soon. Based on a statement by Entrepreneur Development Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Reduan Yusof, it might take about a month or two for the Youth and Sports Ministry as well as the Transport Ministry to work on the kinks before allowing the service to roll-out in Malaysia. 

The free-to-play Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds Lite beta will be available in more countries other than Thailand such as Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and the Philippines starting from 14 February 2019. Those who are interested in taking part, the registration for the beta will open on the 13 February.
