BeReal is a social media app that notifies the users to snap a picture within two minutes at a random, predetermined time each day and share it with others. Compared to another popular image-sharing platform Instagram, BeReal emphasizes its users being real without all those filters, likes, and followers. Today, it's discovered that Instagram might be taking the idea and implementing it on its platform as well.

Meta has been introducing new features on its social media platforms recently in an effort to compete with TikTok, including implementing a new way to create Instagram Reels using previously shared Stories. Now, Meta is allowing users to cross-post their Instagram Reels to Facebook and even permitting users to take advantage of the monetisation programmes offered on both platforms by using the same content.

It looks like Instagram is not done with experimenting with its app just yet even after making a ‘u-turn’ on its recommended posts change following criticisms from fans. Now, the social media platform is doubling-down on full-screen content in its bid to compete with TikTok, this time by introducing ultra-tall 9:16 photos.

Today, Meta released its second quarter Adversarial Threat Report 2022 and we found a few interesting details. In the summary key findings, they shared their findings about Coordinated Inauthentic Behaviour (CIB) operations found in Malaysia and another in Russia. Just yesterday, we talked about how Meta is doubling the amount of content that you don't follow on your Facebook and Instagram accounts. Personally, I'm not a big fan of this because I just want to see what my friends and family are up to. Even the Kardashians hate the new Instagram but luckily, it seems that Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri is going to make a U-turn.

Nowadays, if you feel like you have been seeing more pages and content on Facebook and Instagram that you have never seen, you're not alone. In fact, the Meta company is actually pushing towards more recommended accounts on purpose. Why is that?

Now, Instagram will be adding photos, videos, or Reels into the package, which is one of the most requested changes by the creators.

Google Senior Vice President (VP) Prabhakar Raghavan has revealed that TikTok and Instagram are becoming competitors to its core services, Search and Maps. During a discussion about the evolution of search, Prabhakar revealed that younger users are now turning to TikTok and Instagram instead of Google services for discovery purposes.

Meta-owned social media platform Instagram is currently working on a new ‘Live Producer’ tool that allows users to hold Instagram Live sessions from their desktops. Furthermore, the tool also allows users to use third-party streaming softwares for a higher quality production.
