The Transport Ministry (MOT) has announced that an online system through an application or other digital methods to cancel the registration of motor vehicles is currently under development. Its Deputy Minister, Datuk Hasbi Habibollah elaborated that the system would simplify the process and help to solve the dumping of broken and old vehicles issue in the country.

The Road Transport Department (JPJ) today announced that several security features and overall user-friendliness features have been added to the MyJPJ app and its public portal. JPJ director-general Datuk Zailani Hashim said that the features can be accessed gradually starting today.

All summonses from the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) and Road Transport Department (JPJ) are set to be integrated into one database system beginning this year. According to the Transport Ministry’s Secretary-General Datuk Isham Ishak, the initiative would allow for the summons system issued by both agencies to be more effective in terms of enforcement.
