Just a few hours ago, Mark Zuckerberg took the opportunity to announce a new feature for Facebook. There will be a new Feeds tab where you can see posts only from your friends, groups, Pages and many more. We haven't seen it yet on our mobile phones but here's what you can expect.

Previously, we reported that WhatsApp is planning to allow users to react to messages with more than just the designated six emojis. Well, it looks like the Meta-owned messaging platform has been true to its words as WhatsApp just announced that you now can react to messages with ANY emojis!

These days, companies are really trying to take advantage of having non-fungible tokens (NFTs) in whichever platform they are having. Instagram is the latest player to join the bandwagon and it has begun testing NFTs.

Just a few hours ago, the CEO of Meta Mark Zuckerberg just posted that reactions on WhatsApp will start rolling out today. Although we haven't got them yet, we just have to wait patiently for this exciting function to appear soon.

Back in early 2022, we already knew that WhatsApp could be working on a new Communities function for the mobile app. Well, Facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg and WhatsApp have just confirmed the vision for it and here's what you can expect.

Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram is reportedly planning to introduce in-app tokens as the virtual currency for its Metaverse. In fact, according to a report by Financial Times, employees of the company already have a nickname for the currency: Zuck Bucks.

The in-app tokens would be centrally controlled by Meta and is similar in concept to the popular children’s game Roblox’s Robux currency. Previously, several sources claimed that Meta was planning to use cryptocurrency called Diem as its virtual currency.

Instagram yesterday announced that it is revamping the app by introducing ‘Favourites’ and ‘Following’, two new ways for your feed to behave. The good news is, regardless of which option you take, your feed will display posts in chronological order again!

Shared by the Head of Instagram, Adam Mosseri via a Meta blogpost yesterday, the change is part of the platform’s initiative to give users more choice and control over what they see in their feed. Furthermore, the change wants to make the time users spend on Instagram ‘feel more intentional’.

Facebook has made a few questionable decisions over the years, both internally in terms of management as well as relating to the platform’s algorithm and features. Well, it seems that Meta’s popular social media platform is at it again, this time by reportedly locking out users who doesn’t activate Facebook Protect out of their Facebook accounts. 

Worse, some users are even saying that they weren’t made aware of the necessity of turning on Facebook Protect. In fact, the only notice they got was from a spam-like email from Facebook titled “Your account requires advanced security from Facebook Protect”.

Meta Platforms chairman and CEO, Mark Zuckerberg yesterday confirmed that non-fungible tokens (NFTs) are coming to Instagram soon. In fact, the Facebook founder said that Meta is currently working on doing just that and hopes that it would be accomplished ‘in the near term’.

This announcement comes as no surprise as Meta has previously announced its interest with NFTs. Earlier this year, Instagram top executive Adam Mosseri said that the company is ‘actively exploring’ NFTs and even made plans to add NFTs into its crypto wallet Novi.
