Maybank has extended their Kill Switch service to also include Credit and Charge cards on top of your existing MAE account and access. As before, you can access the Kill Switch feature via the “…” symbol in the MAE app or go to Settings > Security > Kill Switch on the site.

Maybank recently announced support for DuitNow Request, an easy way to ask for money from friends and family or request payments from business partners. With the new feature, Maybank2u web or MAE app users can easily send a DuitNow Request, with the payer only having to click ‘Pay’ to send the money.

Previously, we reported that Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) told banks in our country to migrate from OTP to more secure authentication. Today, Malayan Banking Bhd (Maybank) has pledged its commitment to the call and will fully replace OTP via SMS with its Secure2u authentication system by June 2023.

So this just came in, Maybank Malaysia has just announced that its classic Maybank2u website will be discontinued. The decommissioning will begin in January 2022 but don't worry, the company said you can still log in with your existing username and password, as well as bank online with the current Maybank2u.

Starting from 3 December 2020, Maybank Malaysia will no longer send any SMS notifications to your smartphone. So whenever you make a Debit Card transaction, the notification will be sent to your Maybank2u (or M2U MY) app instead.
