In the near future, CIMB and Maybank will be moving their SecureTAC approval to their respective apps. This is part of the banks' to further safeguard your money from scam SMSes and is also, in line with the Bank Negara Malaysia.

Maybank has extended their Kill Switch service to also include Credit and Charge cards on top of your existing MAE account and access. As before, you can access the Kill Switch feature via the “…” symbol in the MAE app or go to Settings > Security > Kill Switch on the site.

QR payment is becoming a norm now and if you are a Maybank user, you're in luck. Maybank just announced that its users can now make QR payments when they are overseas. All we have to do is look out for QR codes!

If you haven't login your MAE app or the Maybank2u website yet, you'd be pleased to know that there is a new Kill Switch feature. It's a new security feature and just got rolled out today. 

In just the wee hours of this morning, a tweet was sent out alerting our Minister of Communications and Multimedia of Malaysia, Fahmi Fadzil about another data breach. This time, 13 million Malaysian user data from Astro, Maybank and SPR may have been compromised in the black market.

Maybank recently announced support for DuitNow Request, an easy way to ask for money from friends and family or request payments from business partners. With the new feature, Maybank2u web or MAE app users can easily send a DuitNow Request, with the payer only having to click ‘Pay’ to send the money.

Apple Pay arrived in Malaysia last month, and the local banks are trying to make their cards work with the payment service. Today, Maybank has announced that its American Express cards can also get linked to Apple Pay, starting from now on. 

Previously, we reported that Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) told banks in our country to migrate from OTP to more secure authentication. Today, Malayan Banking Bhd (Maybank) has pledged its commitment to the call and will fully replace OTP via SMS with its Secure2u authentication system by June 2023.

As iPhone fans and customers begin to buy the newest iPhone 14 series, authorised Apple retailer Machines has begun its iPhone 14 collection event at Sunway Pyramid. Starting today until 25 September 2022, customers who pre-ordered earlier can now collect their iPhone 14 series as well as special gifts.
