MediaTek is set to unveil its most powerful mobile processor yet, the MediaTek Dimensity 9200 during an upcoming event on 8 November 2022. The successor to the Dimensity 9000, the Dimensity 9200 is the Taiwanese company’s next-gen flagship SoC.

Around the same time last year, MediaTek unveiled the performance of its not-debuted-yet Dimensity 9000 chip by posting the first 1 million points result scored on AnTuTu. This year, it follows the same promoting strategy for the upcoming successor, Dimensity 9200. The result proves that the chip is worthy of powering future flagships.

Yesterday, we reported on MediaTek’s unveiling of its new mid-tier mobile chipset, the Dimensity 1080. Not long after the announcement by Mediatek, we’ve already gotten confirmation from realme VP Madhav Sheth that the SoC will be powering new realme devices by the end of the year.

MediaTek has unveiled its latest mid-tier mobile chipset, the Dimensity 1080 which offers better performance, efficiency and imaging capabilities compared to its predecessor the Dimensity 920. The chipset supports 5G connectivity too and will be powering devices as early as the end of 2022.

Intel and MediaTek have announced a strategic partnership under the former’s foundry services, whereby Intel will be manufacturing chips for the Taiwanese fabless semiconductor company. The partnership is meant to help MediaTek build a more balanced, resilient supply chain.

Today, MediaTek is proud to present a new Dimensity 9000+ chipset. As a new 5G flagship phone chipset, it's the company's fastest one yet and claimed to have a boost in performance over the Dimensity 9000 to become even more powerful and efficient.

MediaTek has come back with two mid-range chips, Dimensity 1050 and Dimensity 930. The semiconductor company accounted for almost 50% of the market share of Android devices last year, and it seems like it's aiming to get higher than that by being more active in making new chips in 2022.

If you ask any smartphone enthusiasts what's the best chipset, they would probably tell you it's the Snapdragon and Apple's A Bionic chipset series. However, both of these chipsets have been taken over by MediaTek as the most popular SoC in China recently.

Samsung has once again snatched the top spot in the semiconductor industry. According to the latest report, the Korean tech giant surpassed Intel by becoming the world's biggest semiconductor company by revenue in 2021.

Previously, rumour has come saying that Samsung will use a MediaTek Dimensity chip for the upcoming Galaxy S22 FE and some Galaxy S23 devices. However, the latest information claims that the Korean tech giant has no plan for the change.
