While Malaysia is enjoying the newly released Moto G5 Plus, Motorola has just revealed another smartphone called the Moto Z2 Play. Let’s check out what the tech-specs offer:

We have already told you that the Moto G5 Plus is going to be announced officially on 29 May 2017 in Malaysia, we also got some hands-on on the device too yesterday from our good friends from Motorola Malaysia. Without further ado, check out the photo samples we took last night.

“Wait, Motorola is still around?” said one of my friends when I showed them the Moto G5 Plus. Yes, that’s how “light” it is when it comes to brand presence. In a country like Malaysia, where we are surrounded by Apple, Samsung, and Huawei billboard advertisements, Motorola is like one of those kids who aren’t in the current cool gang, even though they were the former trendsetters who made the first mobile phone. However, Motorola is making a comeback in Malaysia (particularly with how the Moto Z2 Play event went recently) which you can see with our review of the Moto G5 Plus below.

Today, we just got official news that Moto G5 Plus is coming sooner than we think on our Malaysian shores. The scheduled reveal date is set on 29 May 2017, but before that, tomorrow night we will also have our first look at the device as well, so stay tuned for that. 

With the closing of the MWC 2017 last week, we saw some cool technology showcased in Barcelona, ranging from cars to advanced cloud storage technology. However, in this article we will be looking into the smartphone category and tell you our favourite top five new smartphones at MWC 2017!

As some of you already know, Motorola has announced their latest smartphone - Moto G5 and G5 Plus .The phones also appeared in MWC 2017 today, we managed to drop by their booth and even though the phones are no longer modular like their predecessors, we still did a hands-on on the devices so check out the video below!

Lenovo had been rumoured to launch some new phones during MWC2017, which would very well be the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus mid-range devices. The latest leak includes what seems like official press renders, with all the information including full specs and more photos of the pair of phones, all, except pricing information.

Being the “Plus” model, the Moto G5 Plus will be obviously be the higher-end model between the two. It comes with a 5.2-inch Full HD (1080p) display, 12MP main camera with dual pixel autofocus, Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset, generous 64GB of internal storage, and NFC. Keeping the lights on is a 3000mAh battery with “TurboPower" charger.

The Moto G5, being the smaller sibling, has a slightly smaller 5-inch display (though it retains the Full HD 1080p resolution), a 13MP PDAF main camera, Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset, 32GB of expandable storage, as well a 2800mAh battery with 10W rapid charger. There is however, no NFC with the Moto G5.

More rumours about the Moto G5 Plus is beginning to surface, first we got some tech-specs and some unconfirmed images, but another one just got released not too long ago and it's getting a bit more convincing; especially now that we have a clearer look at the body. 

Last month we shared what seems to be a leak of a yet-to-be released Motorola phone, which we suspect is the Moto X 2017. Now pictures of a new phone that was being sold illegally in Romania looks to be the same Moto X 2017 – only this time it is labelled as the Moto G5 Plus.
