Based on a statement by Khairy Jamaluddin Abu Bakar, it seems that roughly 1.4 million Malaysians who registered for the COVID-19 vaccine did not provide additional information about themselves other than confirming their identity via NRIC. Citizens who did not provide the app with the necessary information might end up needing to get the vaccine at a later date, as some of the information might be required in order to set up an appointment.

Minister Khairy Jamaluddin has recently announced that it will be possible for users to register their family members for the COVID-19 vaccine starting from 12 March 2021 onwards. With that in mind, you can soon help your not-so-tech-savvy parents register for the vaccination via the MySejahtera app.

A few weeks back, the Ministry of Health announced that the MySejahtera app will be getting a notable update. It will allow users to register for COVID-19 vaccination and receive notifications when the time comes. This update is now officially available on iOS and soon on Android.

Previously, we reported that the COVID-19 vaccine registration will be available on the MySejahtera app. With this, the government just recently confirmed that the app will remind Malaysians under the National COVID-19 Immunization Program for a second round.

As the COVID-19 situation in Malaysia continues, it's important to do our part with the resources provided to us. One such resource is the MySejahtera, which is mainly for contact tracing. Some of you may not notice if you don't check often, but the app was updated recently on 26 Jan 2021.

Just yesterday, it was announced by the health ministry that there will be a new update for MySejahtera app at the end of January. The new update features a new registration for Malaysians eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.

It seems that Minister Khairy Jamaluddin has recently announced that it will be possible to sign up for the Covid-19 vaccination via the MySejahtera app found on your iOS or Android application very soon. Those who have been Covid-19 vaccinated are encouraged to send a report via the MySejahtera app, should there be any side effects from it.

MySejahtera is probably the most used app right now on our mobile devices, everywhere we go and before entering a premise, we just gotta scan. However, using your phone at a petrol station is risky and it has been announced that there's actually no need to use the app before filling the petrol.

After the announcement saying that RM50 will be distributed in the form of eWallet credit to the public was made, we believe that many of you must have rushed to download the MySejahtera app (including us too). With that being said, the app is now flooded with 700,000 registrations in a minute and it might be a large request for the app to handle.

If you still don't have the MySejahtera app on your phone, now would be a good time to download it. The government first announced last Friday that it will be giving away RM50 e-wallet credit to all Malaysians, a move that is meant that encourage the use of e-wallet apps. However, it has now been confirmed that the condition to this is installing the MySejahtera mobile app.
