Previously, Nothing said that its first smartphone, the Nothing Phone (1) will be able to show the battery percentage of the Apple AirPods lineup with its next update. True to its words, the company has recently released the Nothing OS 1.1.7 update for the Android smartphone and lo and behold, the device now has extra functionality when paired with the AirPods.

In just two more days, Nothing Malaysia will be releasing a new exclusive combo box for the Nothing fans and customers. From the 4th until the 13th of November 2022, there will be a special Nothing Phone (1) and Ear (stick) wireless earphones bundle, alongside a pair of quality scented candles.

Last year, Nothing made a name for itself with the launch of its eye-catching Nothing Ear (1) true wireless earphones. This year, it finally launched its first smartphone. When it comes to the most eye-catching new mobile phones, the Nothing Phone (1) would certainly be one of them.

Android 13 was officially released by Google on 16 August 2022 for Pixel devices, with the OS update only coming to other supported Android devices “later this year”. However, one notable brand missing from the list of devices to receive the update is Nothing and its founder Carl Pei had some interesting comments when asked about the matter.

The Nothing Phone (1) has got to be one of the most hyped up smartphones in recent history but sometimes, it’s just hard to keep up with expectations. Previously, we reported that early adopters of the device have been getting quality control issues, whereby their displays have a green tint or dead pixel issues and now, there is more controversy about the Phone (1)’s display.

Previously, there were rumours of the Nothing Phone (1) Lite and it could be scheduled later this year. However, the Nothing brand denied it and to bury the rumour once and for all, Carl Pei simply tweeted "Fake news".

The Nothing Phone (1) has become the talk of the town with its unique design. Earlier, we heard a rumour saying that the company is already preparing to launch a 'Lite' version of the device later this year. However, it might not be true after all with Nothing's denial.

Nothing during an event in Sentul Depot, Kuala Lumpur today announced that its first smartphone, the Phone (1) will be on sale in Malaysia starting from 1 August 2022 for the 8/256GB variant. Furthermore, consumers can place their pre-order and get a first-hand experience of the device by visiting the Nothing Pop-up store at the Starhill, Bukit Bintang from 21 to 25 July 2022. 

From time to time, some smartphones would suffer the green tint effect from the displays. Although not every model of a particular series would have the issue, the latest problem is coming from the Nothing Phone (1) with multiple users reporting it.

That's right, the Nothing Phone (1) is released earlier than expected starting from today onwards (18 July 2022). However, we noted that the device is already sold out on the first platform at the online Crossover Concept Store from a starting price of RM2399. No worries, though, there are still more platforms on the way.
