OPPO has finally revealed the world's first under-display camera equipped prototype at MWC 2019 in Shanghai, China. Similar to the rumours we had covered before, the prototype in question is equipped with a front-facing selfie camera which is embedded under the top section of the display. Since it is only a prototype, not much is known about the tech specs, as well as when is the Malaysia release date of future OPPO devices that comes with this technology.

A few days ago on Twitter, OPPO themselves showcased what they have been working on back in China by recording a short clip of an under-display selfie camera. That's truly exciting and it gets better, the company has announced that they will at the MWC 2019 Shanghai and very likely to show off this new technology.

It looks like notches and cutout display will be a thing of the past. OPPO took to Twitter to show off their prototype of what could be the first working notchless under-display selfie camera in the world.

OPPO has possibly discovered a new way of removing notches or cutouts from their displays altogether. No, it is not a pop up or rotating camera. Popular leaker, Ben Geskin shared on Twitter that OPPO has found a way to implement under-display cameras and may be able to launch the device this year.

A change has been made to OPPO’s logo and it's a pretty big change. White font and consistently shaped lettering is the approach the company took at their new logo. The company showed off their new logo during their announcement of their brand new Reno line.

As part of the first quarter of the year, the Mobile World Congress is held in Barcelona, Spain annually and most of the smartphone brands will definitely be there to show off what they have in store for us, such as OPPO's upcoming flagship for the first time in MWC 2019. We don't exactly know what is the phone's name, but we do have some key takeaways on the new unknown flagship from OPPO Malaysia so here's what we know so far. 

OPPO unveiled their latest camera technology yesterday, the 10X hybrid optical zoom. This isn’t surprising as they did tease the zoom before hand. They also unveiled the 5x precision optical zoom in 2017 so it's nice to see them progress with something better. 

Looks like OPPO will be showcasing its much anticipated 10x zoom tomorrow, 16th of January. It is speculated that the 10x lossless zoom would first be released on the OPPO F19 and F19 Pro. The info was shared in a black and white teaser poster with the date shared under what looks like a dome.

2019 is looking like the year of the foldable smartphones and OPPO has just confirmed that they too will join in on the bandwagon. They’ll be launching their foldable smartphone at MWC 2019 which will be happening at the end of February.

Today, OPPO and Dolby Laboratories have announced that they will be working together and with this collaboration, Dolby's High-Efficiency Advanced Audio Coding (HE AAC), JPEG-HDR and other audio and video technologies can be used in OPPO devices in the near future.
