Last Updated: Feb 12, 2018
When we reviewed the OnePlus 5 last year, it was dubbed as the flagship killer for a few good reasons and good specifications at a reasonable price. Comparing it with the iPhone 7 Plus (before the 8 and X were released), we think the former is definitely more worth it. Then after that, the OnePlus 5T was revealed coming with an 18:9 aspect ratio body for RM2388. There are not many changes per se with the OnePlus 5, so join us to check out if the new flagship killer delivers below.

An apparent full-body leak of the OnePlus 5T has surfaced online and it is majestic. It would seem that OnePlus has maintained their trademark red box with white interiors. Inside, we can see the OnePlus 5T device, the dash charger and the trademark red cable. Based on side-by-side comparisons, the OnePlus 5T is slightly larger than the OnePlus 5 but generally the form factor looks identical. Though, the home button is gone and the fingerprint scanner has been moved to the back.

The OnePlus 5T is looking like quite a beast with the 6-inch, 2160 x 1080p 18:9 aspect ratio display, powered by the high-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC with Adreno 540. On another note, co-founder of OnePlus Pete Lau has dropped a small bomb for some of us. He has begun posting in Weibo with a OnePlus 5T flare.

Under the codename A5010, the alleged OnePlus 5T is listed on the benchmark with a sweet 20MP + 20MP dual camera setup with f/2.6 and f/1.6. A big upgrade from the OnePlus 5’s 20MP + 16MP setup.
