News & Reviews:   OnePlus 8 Pro Malaysia release date

Previously, we wrote that the OnePlus 8 series was rumoured to be released on 15 April 2020. The reports were quite close, just as of from a few hours ago, OnePlus have officially announced the date which falls on 14 April 2020 with a super short teaser video on their Twitter page.

With all the specs and renders that have been leaked for the OnePlus 8 Pro, we practically know everything about the phone already. Regardless, there's still about two weeks to go before the official launch and more details continue to be found. The latest news on the device is that two of its rear cameras will be 48MP modules from Sony.

With the extension of the Movement Control Order, it seems more smartphone brands are fully embracing live stream events. But this doesn't really apply to Oneplus because they have always been doing their live stream annually. Anyway, 15 April 2020 is the date and we might just have our first full tech specs leak of the Oneplus 8 series thanks to @IshanAgarwal24 on Twitter.

The last time we saw the OnePlus 8 Pro surfaced on the Internet was from an image which Robert Downey Jr. was involved in as well. It was rumoured that the A-list celebrity was actually shooting an ad campaign for the upcoming device. Now, other real-life images of the smartphone are leaked again by someone else ahead of its launch, which is speculated to be on 15 April 2020.

5G is all the "hype" now and it's safe to say that most smartphone brands will launch a 5G phone model, even though the technology is not available yet. That applies the same for OnePlus, where a recent interview with OnePlus CEO, Pete Lau has just confirmed that the upcoming OnePlus 8 series will indeed have 5G and also a bit more expensive than usual.

After many smartphones being released in this time frame, the much-anticipated OnePlus 8 series is also said to be released next month as well. Before that happens, we might have heard something new about the device from the Internet, and we can’t really wait to share it with you. This time, it is rumored that the OnePlus 8 Pro will not only be featuring wireless charging technology, it is also going to pack a massive 30W reverse wireless charging as well.

OnePlus is set to launch its OnePlus 8 series sometime in March 2020, but until it launches we'll be getting a lot of news on it for sure. In the latest one, a new render for the OnePlus 8 Pro was allegedly leaked, along with a few key tech specs for the device.
