OnePlus has recently withdrawn the rollout of its latest OxygenOS 13 update after the firmware upgrade caused bricking issues on several OnePlus 9 series devices. The update, which is based on Android 13 was released in December 2022 and a OnePlus software team member on its community forum has advised users to not install the update.

As we approach the end of 2021, here are some fun facts of what Malaysians looked up for in Google Search. Since we are a tech news portal website (again, we are not a shop lol), we will take a good look at the top trending searches in gadgets and devices this year.

It's a tradition for OnePlus to launch its flagship series early in a year and an upgraded version of the devices later. Last year, the company skipped the 8T Pro and introduced only an 8T instead. In 2021, CEO Pete Lau has confirmed that there will be no 9T coming out. Therefore, for those who are waiting for the device, you might now go with the OnePlus 9.

A day before Samsung presented their annual Galaxy Unpacked in the second half, OnePlus actually released a teaser of what seems to be a new foldable phone on its Instagram and Twitter account. It sure got many tech enthusiasts curious, but too bad that the marketing turned out to be a failed attempt.

OnePlus might now be in trouble as someone found out that the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro limit the performance on several popular apps. Along with that, benchmarking platform Geekbench has also delisted the devices as it considers the action as a performance manipulation in its books.

Today, OnePlus Malaysia finally confirmed the price tags and availability. If you're a OnePlus fan, you should already know that the prices got "leaked" yesterday for the  OnePlus 9 5G and OnePlus 9 Pro 5G at RM3699 and RM4299 respectively which turns out to be the case. To refresh your memory, the OnePlus 9 series was revealed back in late March this year. There was no word on when it would arrive in Malaysia but looks like we got our first clue. OnePlus Malaysia just posted a teaser hinting that the OnePlus 9 series would be announced on 11 May 2021. an official date for the launch - 17 May 2021 in Malaysia. 

The OnePlus 9 series has finally been revealed and true enough, not only did OnePlus unveiled the OnePlus 9 5G, 9 Pro 5G but as well as the rumoured OnePlus 9R for the Indian market. We will be focusing on the first two devices first and save the 9R variant for another article (click here to read). So read on below at the official tech specs and prices.

The OnePlus 9 series will be unveiled soon and if there's one thing that's quite interesting, it seems that the China variant will come with ColorOS 11. This was confirmed by the CEO himself, Pete Lau on his Weibo account.
