Qualcomm may finally refresh its Snapdragon 7 series chipset soon after the rather lukewarm use of the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2. The new SoC is touted to be the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, so read on to find out more.

Earlier this year, Qualcomm announced that it planned to set up a satellite-based communication system. Snapdragon Satellite was supposed to launch within half a year of the announcement. However, the deal has officially ended.

Qualcomm officially unveiled the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset last month with some pretty impressive features and specs. Well, another version of the SoC, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy that’s exclusive to Samsung flagship devices is set to be unveiled with the Samsung Galaxy S24 series and may feature a considerable upgrade.

After the announcement of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 mobile platform by Qualcomm, it didn't take long for other smartphone brands and manufacturers to respond. At the moment, both OPPO, iQOO and a few others have confirmed that their next flagships will be equipped with the latest Snapdragon SoC. 

At the Snapdragon Conference, Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. today announced its latest premium mobile platform, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. According to Qualcomm, the latest processor is "a true titan in on-device intelligence, premium-level performance, and energy efficiency". 

For years, Qualcomm was known as the chipmaker for mobile devices. However, the company does have some PC chipsets, albeit in the low-performance category. Now, sources suggest that Qualcomm could unveil another PC chipset at the upcoming Snapdragon Summit.

Previously, we mentioned Qualcomm's launch of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Today, a leaker suggests that the new-gen SoC could cost more than $160 (~RM738.08). That’s because the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 could be priced at $160. Hence, we should expect the new SoC to cost more.
