As a successor to the HONOR Pad 8, you may think that the former is the superior variant but it's the other way around. After being in the rumour mills for quite some time, the Redmi Pad has finally been released by Xiaomi in India. Unveiled during a launch live stream earlier today, the tablet features the MediaTek Helio G99 chipset paired with either 3,4 or 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM under the hood.

Xiaomi is set to launch the Redmi Pad alongside the Xiaomi 12T series on 4 October 2022 and we may not have to wait long to know the details of the tablet. This is because a few days prior to launch, its full specs list and even device renders have been revealed in a new report.

Besides the 12T smartphone series, Xiaomi is expected to debut a new tablet under the Redmi brand, which is the Redmi Pad. However, the tablet is said to only arrive in October rather than this week with the new smartphones. Today, a photo has leaked and revealed the whole back design of the upcoming tablet.

Xiaomi is reportedly set to launch several products as early as next week for the global market. These include highly-anticipated devices such as the Xiaomi 12T, Xiaomi 12T Pro, Redmi Pad and Redmi Buds 4 Pro.

The Xiaomi Pad series might be getting an update soon as its upcoming family member, the Xiaomi Pad 6 has been spotted getting certification by the Eurasian Economic Union (EEC). Based on the certification detail, Xiaomi applied for the certification on 13 May 2022 and it was approved a couple of weeks later on 25 May 2022.
